Andreas is General Counsel and Managing Director of HV Capital. Born in Berlin, raised in Koblenz, he studied law at Trier, spent a year at Uppsala University in Sweden, continued in Berlin, and completed his first state exam at Heidelberg. His career started at the Berlin office of Swedish law firm Mannheimer Swartling, where he spent four years on transaction work with secondments to Helsinki and Stockholm.

Andreas joined HV Capital in 2006, bringing nearly two decades of legal expertise to the firm. Having been a practicing attorney himself, he understands what founders need on the legal side and what they tend to underestimate: financing documentation, corporate governance, and regulatory structure. He strives to be pragmatic, aiming for an expedient process and fast closing while still protecting the fund's interest. Outside of work: family first, road biking in summer, cross-country skiing in winter.
