Frederic Kost

Frederic comes from a family of entrepreneurs dating back to the 1860s, which gave him something before any degree or internship: a deep respect for long-term thinking and clear values. He studied International Business Administration at WHU, completed a Master's in Management and Technology at TU Munich alongside CDTM's honours programme, and first entered the HV Capital ecosystem through an internship at portfolio company Wellster. A stint at Picus Capital and a period at McKinsey followed before he joined HV's early-stage team full-time in 2022. Frederic focuses on early-stage AI-first and vertical software. He looks for product-driven founders with early signs of genuine market pull, repeatable customer wins, fast iteration, and a clear intent to build something category-defining.
