Frederic
Martin

Born and raised in the Western part of Germany, Frederic grew up in a family that have been entrepreneurs since the 1860s, teaching him the importance of having clear values and long-term orientation.

Frederic studied International Business Administration at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management with an exchange at IE University in Madrid and then pursued his Master degree in Management and Technology at The Technical University of Munich while simultaneously graduating from the Honours Degree in Technology Management at the Center for Digital Technology and Management in Munich. 

Being fascinated by the potential of the intersection of entrepreneurship and technology, Frederic first joined the extended HV family as an intern at HV's portfolio company Wellster Healthtech Group followed by a short stint at Picus Capital. Afterwards, Frederic joined HV’s early stage investment team in 2020 as an intern. Frederic then went on to continue as a working student, with a short stint at McKinsey & Company, before joining HV full-time in 2022. 

Frederic loves spending his free time on a sailing boat in summer and skiing in the mountains in winter. Frederic also tries to improve his tennis skills and can be occasionally found on Berlin and Munich’s paddle courts. Furthermore, he enjoys spending time with friends over dinner and a glass of wine.
