founder experience, and a genuinely global perspective shapes how she evaluates companies and supports them after investing.

Laura focuses on early-stage healthcare, techbio, and vertical software at HV Capital. Born in the US, raised in Germany, and moved to Switzerland as a teenager, she has never stayed in one place for long. She studied in Hamburg, London, and Paris, earned her PhD in Finance at the University of St. Gallen, and conducted research at Columbia University in New York. Her first taste of venture capital came in 2009 during an internship at e.ventures, when the German startup landscape was still in its earliest days. She then worked at J.P. Morgan on corporate finance transactions across TMT and consumer industries, from IPOs to buy- and sell-side mandates. But Laura wanted to build, not just advise. She co-founded WeSpace, the first work and community space for female professionals in DACH, earning Forbes "30 Under 30" recognition. At HV, her portfolio includes Wellster, Floy, and Accessus. As someone who knows building from the inside, Laura is convinced that the people behind the money matter more than the money itself.
