Lucian’s dedication to supporting European tech and empowering the next generation of innovators brought him to his analyst role at HV Capital. With roots in his hometown of Stuttgart and professional pursuits influenced by an international outlook, Lucian combines a solid local identity with a global perspective.

From the outset, Lucian was intentional about pursuing a career in business, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and a Master's in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen. After enriching study abroad experiences in Canada and Norway and a stint at an NGO in Tanzania that supports local entrepreneurship and sports, Lucian returned to Germany. He has gained valuable hands-on experience through internships at Porsche, FINN (an HV portfolio company), and HV Capital.

Lucian is no stranger to the patience and commitment required in investment: an avid marathon runner with aspirations for a round-the-world trip by boat, car, or bicycle, he applies the same vision and diligence to the companies he gets behind. As well as being goal-oriented, Lucian is motivated by the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from the talented people he works with. His curiosity for the intersection of technology and everyday life lends itself to spotting opportunities for innovation.

Outside of work, Lucian has run marathons in Hawaii and Berlin, and embraces adventure and competitiveness through activities like hiking, diving, and other challenging sports.
