Maxi Pethö-Schramm

Maxi invests in European deep tech startups across stages. She left her small hometown at 17 to explore the world and never stopped. She studied Management at the London School of Economics, Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar, and earned her MBA at Harvard as a Baker Scholar in the top 5% of her class. 

Maxi started her career at McKinsey, where she worked with public sector and healthcare clients, co-led the Berlin startup initiative, and later moved to San Francisco as a Tech & Innovation Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute.  Shaped by her experiences in Europe, the US, and China, she is excited about macro bets, founders with bold visions, and breakthrough technologies that will transform business, life, and the European Economy,

Her portfolio includes Again Bio, Kipu Quantum, Hades, and Pact. Outside of work: sci-fi and fantasy books, art galleries, and the occasional hike, including Kilimanjaro and Mount Fuji.
