ABOUT MINA
Mina grew up in Bulgaria in the 90s and early 2000s and the country was going through an enormous political and social upheaval. After a lucky break that landed her a scholarship to continue her education abroad, she left home at 17 to live and study in the UK. This early experience to dare to go after what should have been impossible has shaped Mina’s attitude to her work with Europe’s most ambitious and audacious founders who know that failure is not an option. At HV, Mina focuses on Enterprise Software, Fintech, and AI, bringing over a decade of growth stage experience and learnings from some of Europe’s most successful growth journeys, such as LeanIX, Fonoa, Lokalise, AccessFintech, and Showpad, among others.
After graduating from The London School of Economics, Mina’s early career took her to work in over 10 different countries, live in 4, and to the Harvard Business School, where she completed her MBA. This varied and broad experience of people, cultures, and business problems means that Mina is at her best in situations where growth, disruption, and ambiguity are the name of the game and she is passionate about working with founders to navigate these successfully and with empathy.
For the past 10 years Mina has worked with entrepreneurs and management teams across Europe and the US to help scale their successful early products and ideas into scalable, lasting businesses. Before joining HV’s Growth team, Mina spent 5 years at Dawn Capital, Europe’s largest B2B software fund, where she backed a number of pioneering companies and worked to support them in their scaling journeys and expanding to Europe and the US. Before Dawn, Mina spent 4 years in Growth Private Equity, working with companies and management teams to fuel their geographic, product, and team expansions.
Outside of work, Mina gets the most energy from being with her children, trying her best to help them navigate the ultimate growth journey of growing up to be good humans, and from taking long hikes with her husband. She is an avid reader, a so-so fitness enthusiast, and a decent cook.
