Lucian studied business at the University of Mannheim and the University of St. Gallen, with time abroad in Canada and Norway. Between degrees, he worked for an NGO in Tanzania supporting local entrepreneurship and sport. He started at HV as an intern and quickly fell in love with the European entrepreneurial ecosystem and stayed on full-time. Outside of work, Lucian played football competitively before moving on to marathons, padel, tennis, cycling, and skiing, though he will take on almost anything active with friends. He is a passionate VfB Stuttgart supporter and watches (almost) every game.

As a generalist growth-stage investor, he backs startups with exceptionally bold ambitions: companies that lead on technology, put product first, take on challenging markets, and are built by founders determined to redefine their category.
